... with "MTV", there are frequent opportunities to perform stunts and tricks by jumping using the "A" button and arrows to control spins and other functions of the stunt. These are not necessarily required by the game but do add something visually pleasing to fans of the sports genre. "Pure Ride" is an extreme sports title released to the Gameboy Color console. It features the winter sport of snowboarding and players must compete various races on downhill, alpine type courses. Gameplay is presented from a trailing camera view of the player's on-screen snowboarder. The player must compete through numerous race-like events in order to progress further into the "MTV Open" event.
