Advantages: Better colour pule much harder
Disadvantages: sounds could be improved
...The world of Pokemon is back and better then ever! Now there’s 251 Pokemon to discover.
I've played all the Pokemon games on the gameboy and have completed it all, even the new Pokemon Gold and Silver! If anyone thought that Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow were hard, they haven’t seen anything yet. I guarantee Pokemon Gold and Silver is 10 times harder then all the others! With new gadgets and new gym leaders this will be the best Pokemon game ever on the gameboy.
STORY
Ash has now become a Pokemon master at last! So in Pokemon Gold and Silver you play as a new kid. This kid’s dream was the same one as Ash’s. His dream is become a Pokemon master! Just as Ash he, also has an enemy. So his to become a Pokemon master begins…
GRAPHICS
The graphics are similar to the other Pokemon games but loads of colours have been added to create a better look. It looks better and much clearer too! I give the improvements to the graphics a mark of 7/10.
SOUNDS
The sounds are similar too! But some improvements have also been made. I don’t think that the sounds have been improved much and so I give a poor mark of 4/10 for the improvements made on the sounds.
GYM LEADERS
Now there are 16 gym leaders!!! First you have to beat 8 new gym leaders! After you’ve beaten them you must travel to the old towns and beat the old gym leaders! This makes the game a lot harder. With mazes and problems occurring I give a mark of 9/10 for the improvements on the difficulties!
NEW GADGETS
Now when you need help on the journey you can call Professor Oak with your new cell phone! You also have a radio and you still have a map of the towns. I don’t think that the new gadgets are useful so I give a mark of 4/10 for the new gadgets.
NAMES OF SOME NEW POKEMON
Hinorashi- Fire type, Chicoryta- Grass type, Hoho- Fire type, Hitmontop- Fighting
type, Topegy- Psychic type, Ladyba- Bug type, Slowking – Water/Psychic type and many, many more! I really like the improvements made on new Pokemon so I’m going to give a mark of 9/10 for it.
Overall I think that Pokemon Gold and Sliver is quite good. If anyone likes long, long games this is the one for them! My overall rating on Pokemon Gold and silver is 7/10.
POKEMON CRYSTAL???
In Japan there’s a new Pokemon game called Pokemon Crystal!! This new game can be connected onto a mobile phone and for the first time ever you can be a girl! With Pokemon Crystal you can also catch the 251st Pokemon!! This should be out sometime next year! So to all you Pokemon fans out there, sorry you have to wait for at least another year!!
