"R-Type DX" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 1999 by Nintendo. It is a part of a long standing series of the same name. In the United States, the ESRB panel rated the game "E" which deemed it suitable for all ages. The title is released as an action title; more specifically the "shoot em up" type. R-Type is a brilliant slice of retro shoot em up action. There are essentially 5 games on the pak, R-Type and R-Type 2 in the original black and white, the same games specially coloured, and R-Type DX which combines the 2 games into a seamless alien blast fest. You have to fight against an armada of vicious aliens from the Bydo empire, piloting just one little ship. But - you get some wicked power ups to help you on your way.
