"Road Champs: BXS Stunt Biking" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 2001 by Activision. It is loosely based on the popular "Tech Deck" toy fad which penetrated the marketplace during the time of this title's release. I could not immediately find an age rating for this title but would be able to suggest it as suitable for all ages. Gameplay is presented as a typical stunt dependent title. Road Champs is a Dave Mirra syle bmx stunt game. With games such as Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX and Tony Hawks Pro Skater the game has its work cut out in this genre. There are about 50 different moves you can pull off, by varying bike speed and pressing combinations of A or B and a direction button. However many of these moves (or the main game) cant be accessed until you complete the training sequence which gradually introduces you to the various spins flips and other tricks (some of the require a great deal of skill to consistantly perform). Portable update of an all time classic., A real challenge, you won´t finish it in a hurry!, Nice graphics and sound. FMV cut scenes too. Control scheme has not translated well to the humble D-pad.Very very difficult. Made more so by the tough controls.No memorial hill.
