Advantages: addictive
Disadvantages: too annoying if you lose
Ah, the joys of Tetris. Most people know the concept of this, blocks fall from the top of the screen and you have to fit them into shapes at the bottom of the screen to score points and to stop them from mounting up and losing.
Here are some of my thoughts:
* The shapes are generally quite easy to work with, slotting together easily. I would have liked some different shapes in the game to make it even more of a challenge
* The music is very annoying, more variations on the theme tune could have been done. Especially if you're playing for ages, this can irritate
* One of the quickest games to load though, that is pleasing
* The graphics are sufficient enough for the type of gameplay, anything else would be confusing to work with
* Very addictive and frustrating if you lose a game
* It stimulates the brain cells and keeps the fingers very alert
* I actually completed the game. I was playing in an airport and I sat playing for hours, the game got faster and faster and suddenly it froze and a rocket took off and apparently I had 'won Tetris' and there I was thinking it was neverending
Verdict:
Great gameplay and incredibly addictive, you have to give it a try once in your lifetime
Summary: wonderful

- 11/02/09 Tetris and Tetris DX (Tetris Deluxe was released for the mobile) are similar games, but as there's no mention of the extra modes in the latter, this appears to be a review of the former. |
