The player takes control of the main character "Turok" and must guide him through a series of stages to defeat the prehistoric foes. I wasn't presented with much challenge in the game but did find the introduction to be slightly confusing, as before the player "becomes" the dinosaur hunter he or she must uncover a certain item to gain this identity. This can make the...more

"Turok 2: Seeds of Evil" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 1998 by Acclaim. It follows on from the "Turok" action series of the same name, and is the second installment of the story for hand held consoles. The ESRB panel in the United States rated this game as "E" making it suitable for all ages. Turok 2 for the Gameboy console does not keep in accordance with the storyline observed in the more popular Nintendo 64 release. Turok 2 was a great licence on the Nintendo 64 platformand well, I suppose it would have been a little too optimistic to have expected more of the same when it came to the Gameboy, but you do expect a hlaf decent game. I hate it when game manufactures do this, but thankfully the internet allows you to hunt out a rom and try before you buy... Turok 2 puts our dinosaur hunting friend on a variety of different levels facing all manner of beasties. well ok, a couple of different types of beasties across 8 rather large but ultimately ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Turok 2 - Seeds of Evil (GB): Big Game Big Deal (142 words)
by - written on 10/08/00 (Useful, 29 readings)
Rating:

Turok 2 is a very big game with 8 massive levels. It is much better than the original with many more option and a high resolution expansion pak compatiblity. The horrible control system of the orginal can still be chosen but you can also select far easyier arcade setting which helps. The game has more to offer than the orginal with many more weapons and features. One of the weapons includes a brain seaching weapon which finds an enemy brain then burrows its way in to the head then explodes blowing it everywhere, indeed some of the weapons are amazing and very destructive. The only draw back is that is possibly too big and there are too many things to do and you find ...  Read the complete review
