"Vegas Games" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 2000 by 3DO. It is a casino game featuring popular games of chance. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. It should be noted that casino gambling requires the player to be at least 18 years of age in many regions so this title could appeal more appropriately to an adult.

The player begins with $5,000 US Dollars and begins his or her adventure through Las Vegas. There doesn't appear to be any sort of storyline to this game, it is just a matter of gambling and winning the biggest stakes. The player can choose between popular games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Keno and fruit machines and each bears their typical rules of play. Unfortunately, that is where the praise ends. In Vegas Games there is no battery backup for saving any winnings. You may become a virtual millionaire after a few lucky deals but as soon as the power is switched off that is the end of your legacy. Even in becoming a virtual millionaire, it is very difficult to tell when the player has won. The game does not openly state "winner" or something of the like and one will have to watch their funds to see if they grow or diminish throughout. It isn't the most satisfying casino experience for handheld consoles.

The graphics are simple and average in animation. Each card table comes across as very well designed graphically but could have featured greater animations in other areas such as the Craps table which does not show any rolling dice. The audio is also of a minimalistic standard with only simple blips and beeps to suggest what the player may be doing at a certain time.

Overall, Vegas Games is not a good casino release for the Gameboy Color. Should one be looking for a good casino game, Caesar's Palace offers considerably more bells and whistles for visual pleasure.
