al15ex Lost Kingdoms (GC): ... kingdoms for the game cube is an ok game. I got it over a year ago and paid £10 from a games shop. It took a fair while to get into but after a few hours found myself deeply ethralled. One reason for this is that the games at times is really hard you have random battles and use a deck of cards to summon monsters with. These monsters fight in battle for you and some cards are weapons that you can use to attack be...

MB92 Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 (GC)
... all the Tony Hawks games available, this is my favourite. The graphics are solid, there is an excellent rock soundtrack and most importantly the gameplay is as good as anything that has come since. As you should know, this is a skating game in which you can create your own upgradeable character, perform tricks with him and open up new stages. What really makes it special is two things: One the excellent two player mode which is really good fun and secondly the brilliant humour. There are plenty of visual jokes I found funny such as skateboarding through a tress snow laden branches to bury a bully up to his neck in snow. This adds a much needed light touch to what can...

MB92 True Crime: Streets of L.A. (GC)
... game is essentially an attempted copy of Grand Theft Auto, with the twist that you are a police officer and can solve crimes as well as break the law. This means that when you are roaming around the streets you do get some unusual and genuinely enjoyable side missions, which are actually very fun. The problem is that there are only about a hundred of these and they tend to repeat themselves - this wouldn t be too much of a problem if you could turn off the alert to crimes which can actually get a bit annoying. The main game is pretty good, apart from the stealth missions every so often which don t work very well with the result that only trialy and error is necessar...

briangilmour X-Men III: The Official Game (GC)
... it comes to action heroe s the big names of Batman and Superman have had to take a back seat in recent years to the X-Men, they were originally a comic book only gimmick but soon the cartoon caught on like wildfire and Hollywood came knocking. Thats where the videogame comes in, I m not huge on X-Men but I was happy to have a game of the Gamecubes version of the movies second sequel. It s your normal beat-em-up platform game that you usuallly get when they make games based on an action hero/heroes. Graphics - Excellent look about this game, pretty grimey which is very atmospheric and the characters themselves look really good and very life like. Gameplay - A littl...
