You are then given a choice of four different houses to live in all slightly different in colour and floor plans etc. Once you have decided which house you want you will have to pay for it and then work off your debt over time similar to real life. Animal Crossing takes place in real time. The game does not have any definitive story and that means that it never really ends. It's very much like the Sims I thought in many ways. So when you first start ...more

I think Animal Crossing is extremely addictive and at first glance you might think it's just for kids but you would be mistaken and it's very fun and enjoyable. When you start the game you see your character popping on a train and finding a seat. Once you are seated a character called rover who is a type of dog will begin to talk to you. This is where you get all your data set up which includes your name what you are going to call your town. You get a brief five minute tutorial then it's time to get into things. You get off the train and meet up with the owner of the Village general store. You are then given a choice of four different houses to live in all ...  Read the complete review

Crossing Over To The Animals (439 words)

An Animal Crossing game was actually released on the Nintendo 64 in Japan but it never made it to the rest of the world. So this is the technically the first proper game in the series. This is a unique game due to the fact that it relies on the Gamecube's inner clock, this means that if you play at night then in the game it will be night as well but this only works if you have your clock set right. It also relies on the date so if you play in the autumn all the leaves will change colour also if you play on specific dates i.e. your birthday (which you input at the start) then the residents give you presents. Another reason why this game is different is that it ...  Read the complete review

This game was originally released on the N64 in Japan but never made it over here until very late on and on the Game cube. Since then there has also been a release on the Nintendo DS and there has been rumors of it appearing on the wii also. This is a bit like a more colourful and more friendly looking Sims. The story begins when you decide to relocate to a house of your own and move away from your parents. Depending on what answers you give on the train determines what you physically look like and if you are a boy or a girl. When you initially get there you meet the mayor who is a tortoise, in fact all the people in this town are animals. ...  Read the complete review

Amazing Fun (255 words)

This is a real life simulation game that relies on the gamecube's clock function. So if you play the game on a tues evening its tues evening in game, and the same if your playing on a sun morning, its the same in game. the game is one where you just play through as your character and just go through life and try and get a bigger house etc. There isn't a real objective in game. However this game is super addictive. You have a host of things you can do such as keeping the town tidy from weeds, planting trees, flowers, helping the towns residents, colelcting fish, insects, fossils, pay off your debt, decorate your house. The list goes on. There are several ...  Read the complete review

Animal Crossing (GC): Animal Crossing literally endless fun and game play (371 words)

This game was very late coming to the UK so many people either gave up on it or forgot about, i myself decided just to get an import from America because i could no longer wait. Though this is an awesome wee game it starts with you traveling to a new harm and living away from home for the first time, and your appearance is based on your answers to the questions the guy in the train asks you so its random the first time you play except for your gender. You start with a one room house with basics and go work for the local shop. You plant trees and flowers, do errands and deliveries for other people in your new town. The better your town ...  Read the complete review
