Resident Evil 2 (GC): ... shoved a brand new genre down our mouths. Survival Horror - where the player stands alone against a horde of evil, and has nothing but his wits and a minimal supply of weaponry to keep himself alive. It was a smash hit, nothing short of unique brilliance, and although Capcom bled the franchise dry with a horde of sequels (some of them as dead as their monsters they contained), they dusted it off and turned it three-...

MB92 Viewtiful Joe with Bonus (GC)
... of all, I have to tell you that this is a "love it or hate it" game. The 2D cell shaded graphics look really unique and beautiful in my opinion, but I am sure that a lot of people will hate them. Even if you don t like them, it is still worth giving the game a try because the gameplay is absolutely unique and so much fun! The premise of the game is that your character is sucked into a superhero s world where he gradually gains his powers and has to beat up enemiess in order to progress. There is also a puzzle element - for example, you may have to light a torch to progress. This is done by speeding up your punches until your fists catch fire and then punch...

briangilmour Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble (GC)
... it comes to the Gamecube there are definitley some games that stand out better on this system than they do in others, Viewtiful Joe was one of those games and now he s back with his sequel "Red Hot Rumble" this is one of those games that I never seen cheap and still haven t to date so you may need to fork out a bit of cash on this one. But is it worth it? I m gonna say yes, and here s the lowdown Graphics - Well for this type of fighting game it s ideal, it reminds me of japanese cartoon but thats no bad thing as the graphics are excellent in all areas. Gameplay - Surprisingly fun, not that I didn t expect to enjoy it but it s easy to get a hold of theres...

trickmirror Resident Evil (GC)
... funny thing about this game is that i believe it is an amazing game, but i dont enjoy the experience. This is the remake of the original Resident Evil, onto the gamecube. It features enhanced graphics and a few new rooms compared to the original. The basic story is the same (stuck in a mansion surrounded by zombies and lots of puzzles). The thing that amazed me about it was the graphics. They used prerendered rooms to walk around with fixed cameras. This meant that the graphics could be CG video standards. I remembered when i walked into one room and stopped. I thought that i was watching a video. The puzzles are amazingly complicated, and theres never enough ammo ...
