Medal of Honor: Frontline (GC) ... is the game that really ensure the success of the Medal of Honour franchise, particularly after the very impressive first level on the beaches of Normandy. Other missions include spying missions behind enemy lines and sabotaging German U Boats. This was one of the most successful first person shooters for the Gamecube, and is still a lot of fun. The game also looks impressive and it has not dated particularly badly in terms of graphics, which is particularly important for a first person shooter. There is a real cinematic feel because of the excellent sound, for example when a gun is fired, however voice acting is particularly bad, not that that is a real issue. The g... Freedom Fighters (GC) ... Fighters is based in a hypothetical USA after the Soviet Union wins the cold war and invades America. You play as the "Freedom Fighters" of the title fighting back against the Russians. You play from a third person perspective and can use plenty of different weapons such as Machine guns, Pistols and Molotov cocktails as just a few options. The levels are divided so you can choose what order to complete them but they are interlinked. For example, you may have to destroy a helipad in one in order to destroy a bridge in another, which makes the initial playthrough slightly more interesting although doesn t add much to the overall experience. Medal of Honor European Assault (GC) ... you have ever played a Medal of Honour game before, you will know what to expect from this. If not, then it can best be described as a first person shooter set in World War Two. The title "European Assault" makes little sense - while there are some missions in Europe, I have never considered Russia or North Africa to be part of Europe! The game tries to add something new to the series by allowing you to control small numbers of soldiers, but they have such terrible programming that they are worse than useless, as whether you tell them to move somewhere or follow you, they will always slowly follow you around the level until they are inevitably killed by stand...
