This is a fantastic game for the Gamecube and I got loads of gameplay out of it after playing it countless times. It is a really fun game to play and the multiplayer is great fun to play with some friends. The whole idea of this Mario Kart game is that you can choose two characters to have on your kart. This way, you can hold more items and there are more options too.

Each character has their own special items. For example, Bowser or Bowser Junior can get a huge spike. When you deploy this, it can hit other racers and bring them to a halt. The mario brothers can get the large black dog to pull them faster whilst hitting anyone in front out the way. You are more likely to pick up better items if you are towards the back of the group in races.

In case you hadn´t gathered, the whole idea of the game is racing. There are different cups that contain different race tracks. Each race track is quite unique and has different music, scenery and all the rest. It can get really frantic and fast at stages with items that can be picked up such as mushrooms, giving you boosts and loads more to add to the fun. Some tracks are quite interactive with moving parts to them or boosts that will increase your speed.

Overall, it is a very fun game to play in a group, and also fun in the single player. There is quite a bit to complete, but you can endlessly play the multiplayer (with some friends) if you complete the single player. For £13.99, you can buy this game at amazon.co.uk second hand. This isn´t a bad price, but you may be interested in the new version for the Wii, which has lately been released.
