Advantages: Great graphics, fun gameplay

Disadvantages: slower movement

Out of all of the Mario Party series, this is my least favorite one, but it is still a very fun game.

With this being the first Mario Party on the gamecube console, Nintendo was able to add some more features and better graphics for a more enjoyable gameplay.

The most enjoyable addition this game was the lottery feature. Every board has a lottery, where you pay five coins in hope of winning a prize. 1st prize is 100 coins, 2nd prize is 30 coins, and 3rd prize is a super mushroom. The game is picked randomly between spinning a cog for a colored ball to come out, or choosing a ticket to scratch off to reveal a prize. The first time you play the lottery game, you receive a ticked with three characters on it. That comes into use when they announce the last 5 turns, and spin a wheel to try to match your ticket. If you win, you receive a free star!

The boards in this game are pretty fun, and a little more complex than in games past. The items have increased in price, and nothing new was really added.

I do feel that the movement in this game is slow, which makes a round seem longer than all of the other Mario Party games.

Overall, this is a good introduction for Mario Party on the Gamecube system. For any Mario Party fan, this game is strongly suggested for hours of fun with friends!
