Originally released on the Sega Dreamcast, Skies of Arcadia was remade on its way to the Gamecube in 2003. This is game that deserved a lot more recognition that it received. It is a turn based role playing game (RPG) that is set in a world dominated by 'air pirates'. You play the role of Vyse, he is the main character in the game but you also get to recruit others as the plot thickens. As you would expect the game has you needing to help a person in need. This is a great port of the game from the Dreamcast, and is also one of my favorite RPGs. It's better than it is on the Dreamcast because it seems to process stuff a little faster. You play as Skye, which is an air pirate of the blue rogues. In the storyline, you start off as a low pirate for the father, Captin Dyne. You board an imperial ship to steal their goods, and find a girl named Fina, dressed in strange clothes. This is a great little game it is a dream cast import RPG. It has standard RPG fighting methods seen in many games. The games protagonist is a young pirate going by the name of Vyse, he and his friends and family set out to try and stop the Valuan Empire from reviving ancient weapons hidden in ancient ruins which may destroy the world. Skies of Arcadia first came to life on Dreamcast but was later ported to the Gamecube. For those not in the know, Skies of Arcadia is a RPG where you take the role of a pirate who navigates the skies. It's definitely fantasy but yet believable. So expect to see plenty of ships sailing the skies! Cutting straight to the chase without giving much away, when you first boot up Skies Of Arcadia you know that it's going to be something special, and it is.
