This is a great port of the game from the Dreamcast, and is also one of my favorite RPGs. It's better than it is on the Dreamcast because it seems to process stuff a little faster.

You play as Skye, which is an air pirate of the blue rogues. In the storyline, you start off as a low pirate for the father, Captin Dyne. You board an imperial ship to steal their goods, and find a girl named Fina, dressed in strange clothes. Because you fear for her saftey, Vyse and his sister Aika, take her on their ship and take care of her. When she wakes up, she tells you that she is on a secret mission. After she meets with the captain, you find out what the mission is, and agree to help her carry it out. This is the main plot of the game, and if you want more info, you have to play it :).

The fighting system is turn-based, but it is fun. Along the game you aquire different color stones, and these you can equip to weapons and have elemental strengths. Also, by equipping a certain color to your weapon, you increase points to learn different magic in that category. There are about 6 magic abilities per color and I believe 7 colors.

Also, there is a gague you have for special attacks, and this is based on the addition of all the characters. Each round, each character gives points to the party's energy meter. Any character can draw from this, as long as there is enough left to do a special move. You can also focus in the round, which increases the meter for the next round. Every round points are added to it, so you have to decide if you want to save up and use a huge move, or just a bunch of little moves.

The storyline is really good. It's not fancy, but it keeps you interested. There is no voice, but it's not needed. A great part of the storyline is that sometimes it gives you the option to decide to do something. What you do can increase the rank of your character and increase your respect.

As far as armor and items go, it's mainly buying. As long as you have money, you can get stuff. And with buying the entire party equipment plus your ship, it could get costly. Make sure you fight fight fight! The best enemy to level up and get money with is the Looper family. They have different loopers along the game that have high evade stat, so if you do kill them, they give you a lot of exp. Easy way to kill them, Vyse's Rain of Swords.

Overall this game is so much fun, and really addicting. A great story line and plot really makes it an easy game to play.

Summary: A must have
