... also grind along different structures in the game, liek the poles, and shacks in game. In order however to pull off the best tricks you must pull off a couple a super tricks and fill up the bar to get into the super zone 2. Then some more spuer tricks while in zone 2. And then you finally get the bar up into the 3rd zone where it stays full up and you can then get to pull off the best of the best tricks for the highest forms. You can play games where you race, first one to the bottom of the slope is the winner....more

It always worries me when EA release yet another sequel to a game, as it often shouts out "Cash Cow" in big fat flashing neon letters. Milk a successful franchise for all its worth because you know people will buy it irrespective of the games' quality. So forgive me for approaching on the side of caution, when I bought this game. Following on from the success of SSX Tricky (the game's predecessor), which I also owned prior to this purchase, I was tempted to see what improvements could be made to a game that I held in quite high regard. To those who are unaware of the SSX scene, its a snowboarding franchise which not only emphasises racing ...  Read the complete review

This is also about the pS2 version, but can only imagine it's very similar to the Gamecube version. The last one certainly was (if it ain't broke, why fix it?). If you're an avid gaming fan, then you have no doubt heard of one of the titles from this beautiful little trilogy. If you haven't I'll give you a very quick Intro and background on it. SSX was one of the very first games released on PS2, and it was awesome. It was the game which leant me towards buying the PS2, having spent many a night round at my mates house trying to beat each other's high scores, and many a morning late for work but not regretting a single second of it. ...  Read the complete review

Update: Please scroll to the bottom for the update. This is thanks to mattsterrr, thanks! Re: stats and on-line gaming. ======== Please note that the game I am writing about is for the Playstation 2, not the Game Cube, there is no category for the PS2 on here yet The third instalment of the SSX series is here with a vengeance! I received the original SSX game a few years ago after having played the demo and raving on about it to my sister, as soon as SSX Tricky was released, I borrowed it a off a friend (for nine months) then ...  Read the complete review

Advantages: Massive amount of unlockables, Great Visuals, Sounds, Longevity In this game you must race downhill slopes while also pulling off some killer moves and stunts. Tricks are easily performed in game, which is what makes this game so good and addictive. All you have to do is get some air (get your character airborne) and then presss some buttons to pull off different moves along with directions to chose between different moves. Then you can also grind along different structures in the game, liek the poles, and shacks in game. In order however to pull off the best tricks you must pull off a couple a super tricks and fill up the bar to get ...  Read the complete review

I bought this game having played all the other ssx games i had thouroughly enjoyed ssx tricky with all the uber tricks and the unique characters. i had mastered garibaldi knowing all the shortcuts and all the best jumps to get the highest point scores on ssx 3 however they have totally changed the layout of the game now you have to actually snowboard to all the options and whilst doing this u can pull off big tricks and earn money this money can be spent on hundreds of upgrades from stat to clothes and boards i think this has added another level to the game. Another new feature is that you have to do normal uber grab as it wud seem to be a good name for them before you ...  Read the complete review
