Following a temporary addiction to Luigi’s Mansion, I needed another fix for my Game Cube. At the time, the range of games available for the Game Cube wasn't (and still isn't) huge and I fancied a bit of a change. As a rather cautious chap when it comes to buying new games, I actually borrowed a copy of this for two weeks before I decided whether it was for me or not. Oh the convenience of games rental, eh? GAMEPLAY Perhaps the most appealing thing about this game is its simplicity. Sometimes, you don’t want to play a game for hours on end, or successively pick up from where you last got stuck. Super Monkey Ball is one of the few games that I can ... Read the complete review

This is a review on an original creation by Sega, and distributed but Nintendo on the Nintendo Gamcube game called Super Monkey Ball, ah yes the likes of monkey’s in a ball seams like madness, yet it is incredibly addictive and a cheap game to get. Different type of monkey’s in different coloured balls makes magic come alive for great entertainment for the whole family. What is Super Monkey Ball? *********************** Super Monkey Ball is a new creation created by Sega, but as Sega have been bought out, the Nintendo Gamecube was allowed to put it on their console, and as it is licensed by them. As some of you may think that this game may seam ... Read the complete review

In this game the main idea is that you move and tip a board in oder to navigate you monkey (in a ball) around obstacles and maze like routes. Obviously made difficult by the slopes, holes, gaps to jump, chutes, and collecting bananas. The main game is ok but not the most fun to play. However the best part of the super monkey ball game is the mini games. There are a host of other mini games for you and your friends to play. From racing, tennis, bowling and fighting there are lots of different mini games. I loved the monkey target game, you take it in turns to see who can get the higest score. Your monkey rolls down a slope and flies off the end, ... Read the complete review

"...and then I said to my mate, 'yeah, this new game I got, I have to roll my monkey who sits in a large glass ball around these huge different neon-coloured levels making sure he doesn't fall off the side and it's really fun', and he just looked at me really weirdly. I don't know why or anything...." A true conversation I had, (okay, maybe not), but you can understand where I'm coming from of course. Tell somebody about this game and they're likely to admit you hastily to the men in white coats before you can say "but it's for real....". The main game of Super Monkey Ball features your choice of one of ... Read the complete review

What can I say about Super Monkey Ball? Well first off you must be aware that it features Monkey's in Balls and whereas some will laugh at the stupidity some will realize the pure genius behind it (like me). What am I on about? Well its simple, SEGA have gone and created a game so incredibly insane that it is probably the best and most original launch game on the Nintendo Gamecube. What we have here are some poor Monkey's stuck in balls on tables that can be tilted, and your job is to tilt the tables and get the Monkeys to the exit, and we have one of the most frustrating and addictive experience on the Gamecube. I say Frustrating but sometimes the game ... Read the complete review
