Disadvantages: single player mode not as good as other games

Classic. It is the follow up to the world wide phenomenon that was super smash bros. Not only did it follow it up, but it surpassed it by far. The graphics are far superior. The gameplay is more fast paced. The characters have expanded their arsenal of moves. There are more levels. More players, levels and trophies to unlock, and a better single player mode. In a fighting game like this it is hard to make a sequel and expand on the moves of the characters without making it too complicated and semi impossible. It happened to street fighter. Street fighter was an all time classic, but now a days street fighter has gotten so complicated, that it has turned into a random button pushing free for all. Not in melee. Melee added more complex moves, but just enough so that it would feel fresh, but every move could still be a predetermined calculated move.

Summary: new additions, but it still stays true to original
