Super Smash Brothers Melee is a fighting game for the Gamecube developed by Nintendo.

This game doesn't have much of a story mode, the closest you get is the Adventure mode where you journey through some levels which include the Mushroom Kingdom! There are other single player modes to play like Classic mode where you go through a series of fights and Challenge mode where you complete challenges.

The game has a whole bunch of your favourite Nintendo characters to play as including the iconic plumber Mario, Link the hero of Time, Luigi Mario's trimmer brother, Pikachu the electric mouse Pokemon, Zelda the princess with the deadly doppelganger, Bowser king of the Koopas and Marios greatest enemy, Peach ever the damsel in distress, Mewtwo the psychic Pokemon, Samus the hero from the Metroid games, and many more you probably wont know including Roy a guy with a fire sword and Ness a psychic kid with a yoyo!

If ever you wanted to see who would win in a matchup between your favourite Nintendo characters or just give Bowser a pounding with Peach to set him straight this is a game you will love!

Each character has their own unique moves mapped to the B button and you can do up to four different unique moves, you can also do melee attacks and dodges along with more powerful Smash attacks. You get 0% damage when the game starts but as you fight you will gain damage which will up your percentage, 100% does not mean you will die however you will just be a lot easier to knock off the stage which is how you win the game.

The action in this game is so fast paced and frantic that you will not be able to play without a stupid grin on your face, it is supremely satisfying to blast people off the stage and watch as they hit the camera or fall away into the distance! There are also a ton of insane pick ups from giant guns, magic wands, power stars, to the hammer which sends everybody flying as you charge at them waving it like a madman! The multiplayer battles in particular are a blast as you team up with friends or even take them on!

Graphics are excellent with detailed characters and environments you will recognise from various Nintendo games.

Super Smash Brothers Melee is great, I'd even go as far as saying it's one of the most fun games you will ever play!

Summary: An excellent Nintendo fighting game!
