There are a few games here and there that blow your mind and change the way you think about games! This game for me was one of them. INTRO The game came out about four years ago now on the Gamecube. With the gamecube struggling to keep up with the PS2 and the Xbox a game from the widely respected Tales RPG series was welcome. Not many people in the UK know much about this series of games. but they are among some of the best RPG games every. RPG stands for Role playing game and they usually involve epic quests where you control a group of people. There are character progressions and major storylines throughout and the games are sometimes more like ... Read the complete review

This is by far the best RPG on the gamecube there is. The game is brilliant and lasts for soo many hours and on top of that has a deep and brilliant storyline. You follow through the story as a kid caleld Lloyd Irving whose friend Colette is chosen to save the world and leads to you going on a quest around the world to save everyone. The world is dying and she needs to help to regenerate the world at certain temples. The gameplay in this game is brilliant. You traverse the world map, get some vehicles later to make things quicker. The battle system is really good, you can run aroudn you battle area once a fight starts and you pull off an array of ... Ahh, Tales of Symphonia. This title is what GameCube owners such as myself have been talking about for months, as we're starved for a decent original RPG. I honestly haven't discovered an RPG so much fun to fight, explore, or just wander about aimlessly since Secret of Mana. Concept and Story Once upon a time, there was a tree which was the source of all mana. A great war ravaged the land and caused the tree to wither, so a Hero, in all his martyred glory was sacrificed in order to replace it. Grieving for the Hero, the Goddess Martel disappeared and went into a deep slumber. The story begins with a girl being born named Colette, whose ... Read the complete review

Tales of Symphonia was an average RPG for the Gamecube. Nintendo is not known for putting out great RPGs, so by Nintendo's standards, this is an amazing RPG. You can tell from the beginning that the game is going to be samewhat long, due to the fact that is has two discs. However in this instance, long is good :). The graphics are anime style, a little different than most RPGs. There are a few in-game movies with the typical anime movie graphics, and they look fantastic! There are a lot of good parts to this game. My favorite part is the amount of sidequests this game has. Most sidequests in other games are pointless, but this game has sidequests ... This game was released about two years ago, and was one of the later games I bought for my Gamecube. The game is done in a type of cartoon from Japan, called Anime. For me, this was unusual and slightly off putting at first, but having been recommended this game by a friend, I decided to give it a try. The story is basically that there are two worlds, and one world is dying, so some brave souls from the other world set out to save the dying one. The game revolves around fighting and using tricks to get through the various obstacles. I did enjoy playing, but I felt that the story was too in depth and that this detracted from ...
