Advantages: Superb Gameplay
Disadvantages: Control method not as good as Wii version
The Legend of Zelda - The Twilight Princess is identical on both the Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo Wii, apart from one bizarre difference - whilst playing, they are both the mirror image of each other - weird.
If you want to get value for money from a computer game, then look no further than Zelda.
In my opinion, you can pick any Zelda game and find a greater depth of gameplay than in nearly any other mainstream game - Twilight Princess is no exception. There are so many things to do, and so many things to investigate, that this game will take many, many hours before the world of Hyrule is completely explored.
In this latest version of Zelda, a strange darkness is engulfing the land, and it's your job, as 'Link', to get to the bottom of this mysterious phenomenon.
Graphics are very good considering the limitations of the Gamecube - like I mentioned earlier, it's the same as the Wii version. Some of the textures are a bit muddy, but that doesn't take much away from the overall experience.
The control system is pretty good, but fight sequences take the form of mindless button-bashing rather than anything else. This is where the Wii version adds a bit more fun - here, you can actual slash with the motion sensitive controller, and using weapons that require you to aim by pointing at the screen are especially pleasing to use.
There are masses and masses of puzzles to solve throughout this gaming experience - some are easy, whilst the majority will have you scratching your head.
Twilight Princess is a true gaming masterpiece, with many, many, memorable moments. I can't rate this game highly enough - it's an instant classic which I recommend this to any gamer.
Summary: Awesome Game
