Advantages: Pushes gamecube to its limits, free roaming, plenty to do

Disadvantages: Becomes boring, strange plot twist, glitchy

This game is essentially an attempted copy of Grand Theft Auto, with the twist that you are a police officer and can solve crimes as well as break the law. This means that when you are roaming around the streets you do get some unusual and genuinely enjoyable side missions, which are actually very fun. The problem is that there are only about a hundred of these and they tend to repeat themselves - this wouldn't be too much of a problem if you could turn off the alert to crimes which can actually get a bit annoying.
The main game is pretty good, apart from the stealth missions every so often which don't work very well with the result that only trialy and error is necessary. While there are several branching story lines to complete which significantly extends it's longevity, the problem is that halfway through comes a bizarre twist that I won't mention here so as to avoid spoiling the game for anyone. I found it to be really annoying and it actually ruined what was for me an OK game - I appreciate that some people may like it but it makes no sense in the story and was a complete shock to me.
The graphics are pretty good considering the size of the city in the game, which is actually very impressive apart from a bad draw distance and that sometimes you can get stuck between invisible walls. The free roaming mode theoretically means you could play it forever, but in practice it becomes boring and the lack of a multiplayer mean that it only has an average play time.

Summary: Although the game begins well, I soon noticed its repetitive nature and boring activities.
