Beautiful is now just normal the word no longer holds the meaning as it once did. No, now life is viewtiful. Certainly the brightest and boldest of the game shown as the Capcom 5 group earlier this year, Viewtiful Joe mixes an old school side scrolling formula and brings it right into the modern day. This is a great departure from Hideki Kamiya?s usual works in the Resident Evil universe and proves that he is one of the top designers around this day. In the game you play young hero Joe. On a trip to the cinema with his girlfriend Silvia things don?t go as planned for both of them. Silvia wants some action and Joe wants to see the movie, starring his favourite ... Capcom is one of the biggest game and with this game they created something rather different. It seems like a game that you would only get to play in Japan but it's became quite popular with a sequel and a fighting game spin-off. The graphics are the first thing that set it apart. Instead of 3d it is a 2d sidescroller with cell shaded graphics. The second is the fact that whilst Joe is Viewtiful Joe he can speed up or slow down time but not infinitely. So when you slow down time it makes attacks easy to dodge and counter and if you speed up time your attacks do more damage with Viewtiful Joe literally going on fire. The time control aspect isn't just used for ... Read the complete review

I'd like to think: "oh my god! its got slow motion in it! that is SO amazing ", but i can't. So many games now have slow motion, its nothing new, plus it doesn't make a game good, i mean, look at Enter the matrix. That was a pile of Pig poo. But this is completely different. This is the plot: Joe is with his girlfriend- - at the movies watching ' Captain Blue ' when suddenly, silvia gets sucked into the film and kidnapped by the bad guy. joe rushes to save her, so Captain Blue - who is now old and a bit on the chubby side, decides that he will apprentice joe to become a hero, joe is given super powers, such as the abilities to slow ... Capcom have blessed us with some classics over the years. Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Dervil May Cry; their impressive back catalogue correlates with a business that knows it's onions, inspired to greater glories by years of experience and success. Many of my finest gaming memories have their roots in innovative Capcom productions, and their generally less innovative sequels. I hadn?t really heard much about Viewtiful Joe when I unwittingly wandered into my local Virgin Megastore. I?d only popped out for a pint of milk, but there it was, drawing me in with it's Technicolor packaging. Without really paying much attention to the synopsis on the reverse ... It's sometimes hard for an original game concept to be recognised over a timed and tested familiar franchise. Ico or Gran Turismo? The market has become saturated, not necessarily in a bad way, with sequels to popular games. The moment Clover studio brought out Viewtiful Joe was a godsend in my opinion. Ironically, it became such a popular game that a sequel is now available and there will also be a third and last Viewtiful Joe. The moment you start your adventure it is the graphics that will catch your eye first. They are unusual, cartoony cell shaded graphics that mixes between 2D and 3D images. The visuals are amazing and I can honestly say that you will ... Read the complete review
