In the game you play as Joe whose girlfriend is taken through a cinema screen when Joe was watching a movie. He decides to go and get her back, save Silvai, with the help of Captin Blue, his favourite super hero. you get a V-watch which gives Joe the power to slow down time, speed up time etc, among other powers. Hence him becoming Viewtiful Joe.

Now the game concept it great you play through the game and fight many people and robots etc. While doign so you get to slow down time as you attack the robot and the moves look all flashy and really well pulled off. The special powers you can use, and unlock add that extra pizaz to the game. Showing off the graphics and how brilliantly they have employed the cell shaded graphics style in this game.

The single player campaign is a fairly good length, and is really fun to replay which is a good thing. There are 5 difficulty settings so have fun getting through them all. Through the game you unlock new powers and characters to play with keeping the game fresh. The controls are awesome and the game is fluid. Definately one the best games on gamecube. Innovative and awesome.
