Advantages: Big bottle

Disadvantages: Unsucceful

I bought this spray for two reasons this year, reason one being to get rid of the aphids that are killing my rose bush and two to rid my bathroom plant of drain fly as they are breeding on the soil and then dropping dead all over the bathroom floor which is really gross.

==Price and availability==

I bought the bottle for £7.99 for a 500ml version from my local garden centre. The price is far too much in my opinion especially considering the limited success I have had with it.

==Description==

The bottle comes with a chunky base and a spray nozzle at the top. There is a large hands to grip and pull on and you can lock the nozzle by turning it around. There is a large burst of spray that comes out of the end and it has quite a large radius. I would prefer a more precise nozzle as I want to target specific stalks where the nasties are hiding.

The bottle is large enough to last all year but because I have found it very unsuccessful there is little left of the product. I had an outbreak of drain fly that has appeared to come from the plant in the bathroom. The flies are awful terrible fliers so they just bump into you as you try and shower! I squirted the plant and around where they were hanging out and the spray just did not have an effect. If anything the flies just bumped into things and became more dizzy their usual life span of 48 hours was not really impacted upon. I was disappointed with the spray as it had little effect. The other time I used it, I sprayed it on my rose bush that had a particular aphid problem. The aphids got wet bur they did not die. It took about fifty squirts over 24 hours to get rid of half of them and the other half just stayed there.

I am not sure if the new flies on the block are just immune to this type of spray or whether it is just rubbish.

Summary: Costly spray
