Phostrogen slow release plant food (Phostrogen Time Release Plant Food)
Member Name: BizzyB
Advantages: easy to use, long term feeding Disadvantages: none noticed so far
I received a free sample of Phostrogen's slow release plant food. Designed for use in containers and hanging baskets the plant food looks like small green pellets which are mixed into compost. The idea is that they slowing release nutrients into the compost to keep feeding the plants throughout the season. In small areas such as containers and hanging baskets, containing many ornamental and flowering plants, I've found regular feeding is vital to maintain a good display. I put this plant food in a number of hanging baskets and have been very pleased with the result. Without using any other feeds to date the plants are all extremely healthy and flowering profusely - especially the petunias which are in a wall-hung half basket and therefore in a very small amount of compost.
