Advantages: works quickly on flies and wasps, cheap

Disadvantages: smells like fly spray really! Can make you cough

This morning at about 2am I was frantically spraying this into our back porch. Recently I've noticed we've had alot of flies (this could be my fault as I kill spiders!) and we always get more than our fair share of mozzies as we have a pond in the garden. I can't bear the droning of mozzies or the constant flitting around and buzzing of flies. Obviously there's the hygiene problem with flies too. So we generally have a can of this just inside the back door and often spray the porch last thing at night to kill them off so they don't manage to get into the house the next time we open the door.

This spray smells awful, really strong chemical scent and can make you wheeze if you stay in the room after spraying it. It also cannot be sprayed near animals (or their food or water bowls) or fish, I never use it inside the house for this reason (we have both) and restrict my "death to the flies" routine to the back porch only. It goes without saying this should be kept away from kids too.

Last night we had an assortment of flies in the porch, I gave the area a quick burst with this spray, left it with all the doors closed for about 5 minutes then returned to check what had happened. All the buzzing and droning had stopped. All the flies just died almost instantly and this spray does boast a quick effect. So that's very true.

I've also used this on wasps a few times and it kills them in about 30 seconds so it's very handy to have around.

The can is an aerosol with a red lid, the can itself is mostly blue but has a bolt of lightning on it striking a huge picture of a fly! Very dramatic!

It's 300ml and lasts ages because you literally need a quick burst and that's all it takes. We bought it for 65p from Wilkos but that was a few months ago so I don't know if that price is still current.

Works a treat so as long as you keep it away from animals and your lungs I recommend it.

Summary: Does exactly what it says on the tin!
