We tried this product after having about 3 molehills come up on our not over large lawn.

It is very easy to clip together and you simply push the point into the lawn (generally near the area affected by the moles) and it will be charged up by the sunlight. It only really takes and hour or so of good sun to get it charged up for the day. On a very sunny day it will keep working well after the sun has gone down.

It does work to a certain extent as no more molehills came up on that part of the lawn. What we did have though was more molehills coming up on a different part of the lawn. I think to have any real effect you may need to buy several to spread them over the whole of the area you want to protect but that is likley to get quite expensive.

The deterrent also lets off a buzzing sound every 10 seconds or so which although not loud is still clearly audiable if you are within a 10 - 15 m radius and after a while does become very very annoying.

We did take it down after a month or so and the moles seemed to move on by themselves.

Summary: Worth a try but not the perfect solution
