Wormcity Wormery ... tray contains a tap for easy collection of the liquid. Above that comes two 45L composting trays with holes in the base, and then finally a snap on lid that will stop your worms from escaping. This wormery is very easy to use. To start, you only need to use the sump and 1 tray, simply add your worms, the bedding, and your kitchen waste and when full add the next tray to the top. The worms will eat the food in the bottom tray, and when all composted, they will then travel upwards into the top tray in search of more food. When the 2nd tray is nearly full, simply remove, place back at the bottom, the 1st tray will be full of compost, and can be used straight onto the garden, this tray then gets replaced on the top, and the cycle starts again.

Wormcity Wormeries have trays that sit inside each other , by having trays that sit on top like in the picture , does not allow the worms to migrate upwards into the top tray , because when the food starts to compost down it looses volume , and then creates an air space . The simple answer is that this is NOT a wormcity wormery , and therefore any reviews on this wormery are obsolete . I have a wormcity executive wormery, and it is excellent value for money. It was ordered tuesday at 4.30 pm and delivered thursday at 10.45 am !! My wormery came complete with 1 kilo of worms (never seen so many little wigglers) a kitchen caddy, book, food, and 3 large composting trays and a sump with tap. the instructions were easy to understand. I originally chose this wormery because I wanted something that was made in the UK and not imported from Australia, which to me wasn't being very enviromently friendly !!. I purchased it on tuesday morning, and it was delivered at 3pm on the wednesday. I sat down and read the comprehensive instructions, then rolled my sleeves up, and got stuck in making up the bedding for the worms' first night in their new home. The wormery came with about a 700g of worms, bedding, babies and eggs, and I couldn't wait until I could start feeding them, even though I was instructed not to feed them for a few weeks. I was not that impressed with this version of a wormery, it lacked the style of the Can O Worms and the strength. I also felt let down as I'm sure I could have made it myself from the local DIY store. In the end I gave it to my kids to use as part of their school mini beasts project as it acquired more bugs than worms as most of the worms died due to a lack of oxygen. Pretty poor. Look at the Can O Worms or make your own for buttons. My advice is you get what you pay ... Read the complete review
