... purchased this recently for a series of music festivals, i was intially sceptical by its claims to maintain coolness for upto 24 hours. The bag has a massive capacity and will easily accomodate a nights worth of food and drink. One word of note is that bags of ice will not suffice as they take far to large an area and will not last as long as freeze blocks. I literally placed 4 freeze blocks inside the bag tog... Gelert Festival Picnic Blanket ... weighing up the pros and cons of various picnic blankets earlier this summer I finally bought two as I simply couldn t choose between my two favourites. By far the better of the two (for practical reasons) is the Gelert Festival Picnic Rug. This fantastic rug has a thin fleece material on the one side which is very comfortable to sit or lie on, and a water-proof backing on the other side. The water-proof backing protects the fleece side of the blanket from moisture as well as dirt. Unfortunately the picnic blanket is only available in one colour, blue, but as I like blue this is not a problem. This is a very convenient picnic blanket as it is reasonably light ... Great idea, but we were sadly lacking in the picnic blanket department and I am allergic to grass, and thus necessitated the purchase of a blanket.
