“ Type: Patio Chairs / Lounges „
My husband bought two of these reclining chairs last summer for our garden. I was fed up of always sitting on upright chairs which would get uncomfortable and wanted something that I could lie back on so when he bought these I was really pleased!
They came in big boxes and it only took him a short while to put them together. What is fantastic about these is that they fold up so you can store them easier and they don't take up as much room. We used to have chairs that folded up and they were difficult to do so but these are really easy, the legs of the chairs just fold underneath them and the back of it folds forward so it is much more compact. We also bought a cushion which covers the full length of the chair, this is very easy to attach and makes it very comfortable, without this cushion it is too hard and you struggle to relax on it, I definitely recommend that you buy the cushions.
This chair is very low down so if you struggle getting down you may struggle with this especially as the arms of the chair take up the sides where you sit but I can manage it and once I'm down I don't want to get up anyway! The arms move so that the back of it can be reclined. Sometimes I like to sit upright whilst reading and other times I recline it so I can lie back and relax. It is very easy to do and easy to put upright again without having to stand up and adjust it.
I like this and can spend a good time on it, usually up to about 2 hours before I begin to feel uncomfortable!
I much prefer this than the upright chairs and although it is low down it's great because it's really relaxing it reminds me of being on holiday and lounging by the pool!
They are not too heavy either so I am able to move them to the part of the garden where I need them. They have actually been left outside for the full 12 months that we have had them and they are still in good condition- some spider webs and things but no signs of it rotting or anything which is good!
I purchased 2 of these sun loungers last year, whilst they look stylish they are not very comfortable. We got quite a lot of use out of them last year, however we found that during the winter months they were quite a pain to store and look after. This year we opted for Rattan garden furniture. Unlike wood, it is easier to look after and more comfortable.Be careful though, we encountered a lot of cheap rattan furniture in our plight. Look for a company that has been selling garden furniture for a long while and has experience!
I had been looking for something stylish for the garden for some time when I happened upon the Acapulco Teak Garden Steamer Chair. But make no mistake - while I appreciate panache I appreciate comfort even more.
As a lounger the Steamer chair is more than satisfactory. It provides excellent support with its slat design and foot support, although unless you want said design imprinted on your skin it is wise to purchase a complimentary cushion. It makes the experience a lot more comfortable, too. The chair reminded me of a monk-back chair my father had when I was small. For some it may be reminiscent of a nursing home environment, but designed the way it is the back of the Steamer Chair is integral to its comfort properties. There is no feeling of flimsiness as there is with some of its plastic-based counterparts. No, this is a supremely well-crafted, substantial piece of furniture that will last for many years. The only aspect I might choose to criticize is the foot holder, which must be slotted into place perfectly, otherwise is prone to quivering in an unsettling, and, if you are seeking the perfect tan, downright distracting manner.
In terms of appearance the Steamer Chair is gorgeous. Constructed from teak, it has a sumptuous, golden glow and fine sanded finish. You can feel the quality in its weight, although it is not at all problematic to transport and is simple to fold up after use.
If you're looking for a contemporary piece, I would suggest giving the chair a wide berth. Here is an item of furniture that is crafted according to classic methods, and its appearance reflects this. Those looking for a classic, antique-inspired model will, however, welcome the Steamer Chair into their garden. It is ideal if you already possess a set of wooden furniture - ideally teak - as the Chair will compliment it beautifully.
Whatever you have by way of a garden, this chair is perfect to enjoy the summer sun. Even better, with the wood being derived from sustainable sources, you are sure to experience a warm glow even when the sun is absent from the sky.
High quality solid plantation teak from sustainable forests.
