A few weeks back I would have agreed with anyone that said that Aldi is not really the place where people would go shopping for garden furniture, or should I say, good quality and good looking garden furniture. But now I would say, it is well worth checking Aldi out, as we found out when we were just going there to get some cut flowers (btw their flowers are absolutely beautiful) a few Saturdays ago... We treated ourselves to a stunning ‘Cheetah’ six seater metal mesh table and metal mesh / wood armchairs (wooden back and armrest) (with cushions) for only £299.99 – OK it is quite an expense – but it is a big table and the armchairs are very comfy and stable. Comparatively with garden centres, B&Q, Argos and other places where you would usually shop for this sort of thing, they don’t even come close to what Aldi has offered us on this occasion, regarding value for money: we since had a look at B&Q and found out that for about the same price, we could have had a metal only small table and 4 chairs and at a local garden centre we would have had roughly the same table and chairs without wood for £999.00!!! The whole lot came in two big boxes. We managed to get it into a Citroen Saxo with the seats folded down but two trips were needed to get it home. The armchairs were ready to be used, just had to add the cushions. The table was flat packed and it took my husband about a hour to put it up. Also included was all the tools required to assemble the table and a touch-up paint pot to cover up all the chrome screws and to get rid of eventual scratches. The manufacturer advised to treat the wood once a year and ensure that any scratches on the metal are covered up with the paint provided. If you are looking for durable stylish garden furniture then I would encourage you to check out your local Aldi. Or, if you are interested in a Green Resin small table and 4 armchairs for only £15, just leave me a
quick note: I might have just what you want in the garage!!
