An invaluable piece of kit !
Towards the end of the summer months this year we came to a major turning point in our lives,our tatty moth eaten tartan travelling rug just had to go !
The rug had been used a million times over (just a slight exaggeration !) on family picnics,Proms at the park,Concerts and just taken along on the odd walk too.
Now the day of reckoning had come,the rug was relegated to the cats basket !..one very happy and comfortable cat she was too.

I enjoy to trawl Amazon shopping site,bargain hunting,seeing if there are any special deals or offers to be had.
These Faringdon picnic blankets have now been on offer for some time, RRP £12.50..Sale price £5.89 ..that includes the delivery charge.
If it is going to be given as a gift ,then it can also be gift wrapped.
What a bargain !

Our Faringdon picnic blanket is large ( 175 x 135 cm ) the blanket is red ,grey and white striped and has a waterproof coating to ensure that both you and the blanket stay dry.
It comes with a carry harness ,for ease of use.

We can vouch for the blanket,its plenty large enough for the two of us to sit on and enjoy our flask of coffee.
The damp grass doesn't permeate the blanket,so no damp backsides !
When we reach home I usually spread my blanket out on the washing line to air off.
If the blanket has got too damp then pop it on top of the clothes horse to dry off.
I washed mine at the end of September,a gentle wash,with a small amount of Non biological washing powder and a low temperature.
The result ?..it washed well,no piling or shrinkage .

A very handy car blanket,and one of my Amazon bargains too !
