This is a very convenient picnic blanket as it is reasonably light (about 660g - my kitchen scales are not 100% accurate!) and rolls up into a neat sausage. When rolled up it forms a cylindrical shape 48cm long with a diameter of 13cm. After weighing up the pros and cons of various picnic blankets earlier this summer I finally bought two as I simply couldn't choose between my two favourites. By far the better of the two (for practical reasons) is the Gelert Festival Picnic Rug. This fantastic rug has a thin fleece material on the one side which is very comfortable to sit or lie on, and a water-proof backing on the other side.
