What a great idea this is: a picnic basket cunningly disguised as a back pack.
This natty little number really is a good buy (if there are two of you) as it contained absolutely everything you need for a picnic except the food.
The main body of the bag is zipped at the top and is made of insulated material designed to keep food warm or cold for several hours. We certainly never had problems with sweaty, damp cheese or warm salad when using ours. It's easiest to pack your food into plastic Tupperware type boxes as this lessens the need to clean out the bag interior - a very fiddly job.
The front of the bag opens out completely to reveal a well thought out set of plates, glasses, cutlery, nap kind, table cloth, chopping board, salt and pepper pots and a bottle opener. There is even a bottle stop in the unlikely event that you don't finish the wine. All of these things are held into their own place snugly by Velcro or elastic ares slots.
Bottle are handily carried in the two insulated panniers on each side of the back pack. Although this pack is designed for two people, it has plenty of room for a couple of extra place settings. Ours has had cutlery etc for five people in it before although we did need an extra cool box for the food.
It is carried comfortably on the back by two padded shoulder straps or by the handle at the top.
