I bought this patio set from pound stretcher for £39.99. I was impressed with the price as I had been looking around and the cheapest I had found before this was £75, so I felt I did get a bargain. The patio set comes with a glass table, four chairs and an umbrella.

When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised after purchasing other things I had a lot of work to do fixing them up, so I was glad when I had no chairs to fix up, as the chairs was like deck chairs, and just fold up. The only part I did have to set up was the table. Now me thinking I was clever decided to do this on my own, but I do think it will be a lot easier if you have someone there to help you. The legs all needed screwing in, which took a spanner and an Allan key which both came supplied. It did have instructions with it, but to be honest they were not that clear, so I just threw them away and went with what I thought.

It probably took me about 45 minutes to do the table as you had two parts to screw to the legs and four screws in each part. Like I said if I had someone helping me it would have been done a lot sooner. Although it was not really that hard to assemble, just needing someone to hold things in place. But it was easily manageable just on my own.

Once it was done though it was up and outside, mind you since I have got it we have not had much good weather to sit outside in it, but I did once manage it. The table is not that big in size, but the size of the chairs go well with the size of it. The table if set up properly does seem really stable and is not something that you could knock down or collapse easily. The chairs do seem quite sturdy and solid, but I am not sure how much weight they would cope with. I weigh 12 stone and I have no problems with the chairs they hold my weight well. The chairs are also easy to store away as they do just fold up. So on a wet day they can be stored in a shed.

I have left my patio set outside in the rain a few times now and it has always been all right but I think eventually it will probably rust. I will say the chairs for the patio set are not that comfortable and your bum does feel uncomfortable and sore after a while of sitting on them, so I would recommend to get some small cushions to sit on.

Also the thing I found with this is that the umbrella has no base with it so you will have to go out and buy a separate base for it. Other than what I have stated above I would recommend this to buy. I mean it is cheap, its not without fault but you get what you pay for and I think this is well worth the price.
