So with that in mind we placed it in the centre of us all and lit it! ha! well what a fire, in fact the flames were licking outside of the grated bits! it was quite a sight. Our guests had a little two year old which was a bit worrysome so in the end we put up some chicken wire which we had and put it all round about 2 foot away to prevent her from going anywhere near it! I was so excited to try out my new chimnea this year. We were having friends round for a barbeque so I thought great we'll put it on for the guests! We had a fabulous barbecue and the weather held - hooray! It started getting a little chilly so we decided to light the chimnea. I had bought one of those fire logs which you just light and it starts burning! I thought the chimnea would be great for all of us to sit around so that we could all keep warmm rather than just those who are sat directly in front of the chimnea.
