Save the strain on energy bills.Free lighting wherever you need it when you want it.

I needed some lighting for my back garden , it's in a black spot and at night is so dark you can't see a hand in front of your face, being energy concise i decided to research solar powered lighting on the Internet to see exactly what I could get, after scrolling through page after page of solar lighting i found the The Proteam SL1089 Solar Powered shed light with remote control. The solar powered lighting comes in various price brackets and this particular light was a bargain at just £16.00 I placed my order on line and the next day I received a small box from the courier.

      Box Contents :

1 x mountable solar panel with cable
      1 X lightunit ( with 10 X tritonic LED lights)
3 X Ni CD AA batteries
      1 X wall mount
      6 X fixing screws
      1 X remote control unit.
      Boxed weight 849 grams

      Setting the light up:

after taking all the products out of the box you find a suitable place to fix your wall mount making sure that the distance still enables the use of the remote control..drill four holes two for the solar panel mount and two for the light unit.after fixing the mounts to the wall slide the light and solar components onto their brackets connect the cable from the solar panel to the light unit and off you go...

The solar panel charges the lights batteries and the light can be used immediately.Having never tried solar lighting before I was very impressed with the amount of luminance thrown out by the LEDs they light the entire garden making it a pleasure to go outside at night they aren't as bright as a traditional security floodlight but they do a great job and the added bonus with these lights is after the initial cost you never have to pay for the energy again.

The remote control to access the light ,Is a very small 20x10mm box with a button that you aim at the light when you want to switch it on.I can turn mine on from the kitchen without having to go outside, this would be great for anyone with a pet as they could light the area and see what their pets up to without going outside.

This Light is being sold as a shed light but can be used as I do, outside ,as it is weather proof.

      Summary:

You don't need to be an environmentalist to want to harness the suns energy , solar powered items such as these not only help the environment but also save the strain on energy bills.Free lighting wherever you need it when you want it.

      My Verdict :

I'd buy this again and would urge anyone to go out and buy solar lighting for their gardens, whether its for lighting your way or showing off displays this is the cheapest way to go and you get a sense of satisfaction knowing you're never going to receive another energy bill for outside lighting.10/10

The light unit contains 10 x super bright LED bulbs and can be positioned up to 1.8m (6') away from the cable attached remote solar panel. The unit can be powered by the remote control or the manual on/off switch. The solar panel is amorphous so no need for full sunlight.
