Parasene Britannia Wheelbarrow
Advantages: Not a bad price, Works pretty efficiently, Light & easy to store
Disadvantages: Not great quality
So it was a while ago that we decided a wheelbarrow was in order to make some garden work a lot easier. They seem to be the usual way us British people maneuver large quantities of garden waste when doing a bit of tidying up. For no particular reason, after seeing this wheelbarrow online we decided to order it - it was quick and easy and sounded good. We knew that it'd be delivered flat pack, which is what made is more efficient too.
The wheelbarrow arrived in a reasonably large box. Once assembled, the wheelbarrow has a capacity of 70 litres, although it's not the most sturdy wheelbarrow around - especially after being put together rather unprofessionally! Nevertheless it does the job. It was fairly easy to put together and didn't take longer than 25 minutes. It was easy to see where bits went and with a bit of screwing it looked like a ready-to-use wheelbarrow.
The handles and wheel are red - the handles providing pretty good grip. The wheel on my wheelbarrow is not pneumatic and is in fact rather hard, which makes it a little more vulnerable to tipping when pushing over certain surfaces as it has no bounce!
The quality of the 'barrow' part isn't great. It has become dented pretty easily by some reasonably thick branches/logs with pressure mounted on top of them from further material of this sort. The frame that the back half of the wheelbarrow rests on seems somewhat more sturdy, and it can quite easily take a heavy weight without crippling at all! The handles are at a good height for me and this makes the wheelbarrow easy to maneuver without any underlying parts dragging along the ground.
It's not the best quality wheelbarrow and does require a bit of effort to set it up. It feels rather light-weight at first - probably hindering the quality but this means it's easy to store too, also not being the largest capacity wheelbarrow out there. The Retail price is around £38 but you can buy it online in the range from £25-35 quite easily so do shop around. It's not that expensive for a wheelbarrow although you do have to piece it together yourself and the quality isn't excellent for heavy weighted logs.
Thanks for reading
Summary: Does the job but not ideal!
