mumsymary B&Q Green Garden Wire: ... was in the garage after a bit of wire to tie some trellis back to the fence and used some of this B &Q green wire. I bought this wire a while ago from b&q shop as you can not buy it on line. You could phone your local store and reserve some to collect from them. This would probably save you a few minutes. You can not order this wire for home delivery. This green garden wire is available in 2 lengths 20...

... spikes are fantastic things for making the job of putting fence posts in your garden a whole lot easier. The traditional method for this involves digging a hole about three feet deep, and then setting the post inside it using concrete and hard core. The posts would stay in, but for a five foot post you had to buy an eight foot length, and putting each one in would take a sizeable amount of time. A post spike is a substantial construction made from steel, and usually painted green, or brown or rust red, to blend in with your garden. The spike part is 18 inches to 30 inches long, on top of which is a cage that encloses and grips on to the bottom six inches or so o...

... had already painted my fencing with blue fencing paint and my concrete posts with B&Qs exterior masonary paint in sky blue so when my tatty little red brick wall started to crumble i was looking for a brick that would compliment the blue as the red had never realy looked right. Wholst walking around the builders merchants i saw the cotswall walling blocks which are bigger than house bricks, about the same size as breeze blocks which i thought great less hastle to build and a yellow colour will look lovely with the blue. I ordered them, had them delivered and built my wall, it looked lovely. I built it in the summer so didnt realise untill the begining of winter th...

... the walling is part of my patio. A saga in itself in the building, but that’s another story. I got married in July last year and with my present list I sent a small card saying if anyone wants to buy us vouchers we would prefer Kingfisher group vouchers which we could spend at B&Q. It worked, we had over £600 of these! After buying the fencing that we needed we decided to build ourselves a patio. Using the vouchers we purchased sandstone paving slabs and Cotswall blocks. Because our garden slopes towards the house and the patio needed to slope away from the house we were going to end up on two levels. This is where the Cotswall blocks come in. T...
