      Our front yard was a bit messy as the concrete was all cracked and it was old and dirty looking. We decided to cover it with some kind of pebbles as this would be an easy solution. We went to B & Q to have a look at the range they sold and found these lovely stones.

      == The Product ==

      The product is called Pastel Pink Decorative Stone and it comes in a bag which contains 25 kg. The price of the pack is £6.48. It says that one bag will cover 0.3m square if you have it 30mm deep.

      == Our Experience ==

      The stones inside the bag are coloured pink, white, cream and grey. They are all different shapes and sizes and look really nice when you tip them out. The bags are really heavy so you need to be careful lifting them. I have found that I need to drag the bags across the floor if I am trying to use them on my own as I can't lift it up but my Other Half can lift them easily. The stones look a bit dusty when you first tip them out of the bags but you can see the colours nicely and if they get wet in the rain they change to a much darker colour which looks nice and shiny. From a distance you can see the pink tinge to the stones.

      We did our front yard, we bought 7 bags at first. The yard is only small, the width of our house and about 6 foot wide and part of it has a cellar hatch over it so there wasn't much to cover. We put a length of wood across the opening of the yard where the gate is so that the stones don't keep spilling out onto the main pavement outside. We didn't make the depth 30mm, it is about 3 or 4 stones deep, just really enough to fill up the yard so you can't see the concrete through it.

      The stones are really easy maintenance, we just top it up every so many months with another bag full and it looks really nice still even after having them down for a year or more. We have used the stones for a few other things around the outdoor areas. They look lovely laying across the top of a tub with a miniature tree in it covering the black soil. We have also used them around the edging in our back garden.

      == Summary ==

      I am really pleased with these stones. They look really nice and decorative and the colour goes well with the paint work on our house (red and cream) and a lot of people have stopped and asked us where we bought them from.
