~ Bosmere Rotary Line Cover ~
In my garden I have a regular washing line that spans the length of my garden but I also have a rotary line which sits at the top of the garden on the grassy area.
I have two lines as when I am able too I will wash and wash and wash until I have nothing at all left to wash in the house, and of course, all this washing needs drying and ideally I would love to always be able to hang everything on the line so in nice weather I really make the most of it and fill my lines to the max!
My regular line gets used for the larger more bulky items and my rotary line gets filled with all the little clothes and underwear. I like the convenience of a rotary line as they are so simple and easy to fold down when not needed which let's face it happens to be quite often due to our less than fantastic British weather. So when not in use I do like to keep it protected as previously I have had rotary lines that have been ruined due to the weather.
To protect my rotary line I invested in a cover which I purchased in a local discount store and this was the cover I bought.
I paid £3.99 for it which I thought was a fair price for something that was going to protect my £40 line from the harsh weather and looking online I can see that I did get a good deal for it. The prices online vary from £4.99 to £12.99!
It came in folded up in a little plastic bag which was easy to get into due to the easy open flap on the back of the pack.
I pulled the cover out and was pleased to see that it was made from a thick durable material. The material is woven coated polythene and is stitched together with a strong thick plastic coated cotton.
Running half way through the cover is a strong metal zip which means the cover opens out at the bottom making it easy to fit over the rotary line. When pulled over the zipper simply zips back down to the bottom protecting the line from any harsh weather and also stops it getting dirty.
My cover comes pretty much all the way down to the bottom of the rotary leaving just a small section exposed.
I have been using this now for the 12 months I have lived here and I am impressed with the quality. When not in use I simply fold it up and leave it in the utility room so it takes up no storage space at all and to use again when the washing has been taken in I simply unfold, unzip and place back over.
It is a dark green in colour and to be honest it is quite plain but it does mean that it blends in with the grass so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
I am quite impressed with this cover, my rotary line is still looking as new now as it every has done and I think that it is all down to it being covered.
Thanks for reading :o) x
It is designed for covering either a three or four arm Rotary Line when it is folded and is made out of woven coated Polyethylene with long life stitching.
