Advantages: A challenge

Disadvantages: Stressful and time consuming

Live in east sussex and planning a conservatory - beware of buying from South Coast Windows and Conservatories Group based in peacehaven. We ordered a conservatory from them at the end of April 07 and currently (nearing end of August) it is still not fully complete - ok they did all the bits so you have to pay up the balance of the money (in our case £15k) and then they lost interest. Actually they didnt have masses of interest in the first place - we received no detailed plans, there was no attention to detail (ie were they creating damp problems for the future by not ensuring that rain could run away from the conservatory). We have spent many a weekend popping by the showroom to find out what is going on and many a morning trying to establish if they are going to turn up.
I guess they are fine if you have the time and the stress levels - at least they are building it if somewhat slowly

Summary: Only buy from this company if you want to project manage the build yourself
