A nice plant pot from Homebase

Having 3 cats means sometimes things get knocked of the windowsill and broken, one being a plant pot last week! The plant survived but a new pot was in order. I spotted this pretty ceramic plant pot while browsing around my local Homebase, it was just the size I was looking for and reasonably priced at £4.99 so I bought one. My local Homebase had 2 colour choices, cream and lilac, I opted for cream as I knew it would match the room it was going in. The pot didn't come with any packaging but the assistant wrapped it in several carrier bags for me.

The Flower Motif plant pot is an indoor pot therefore not frost proof, it measures approximately 12cm's tall and has a diameter of approximately 14cm's, the pot has a wide band around the top similar to a traditional shaped plant pot. On the front there is a little daisy motif, this has 5 petals and measures apporxamatly5 cm's. This is what caught my eye when I was walking around the shop as the daisy is actually a daisy shaped ceramic button which has been "sewn" on with natural raffia and tied in a bow in the centre of the flower, the raffia actually goes through 2 little holes in the pot.

I've got my plant pot on my lounge windowsill where the cream colour blends in perfectly. The pot is suitable for an average sized house plant and looks really cute. As I have mentioned in previous reviews I have an obsession with everything being colour coordinated and although the pot does match my lounge I have actually took the little daisy button off and re fixed it using a coloured raffia so it matches my colour scheme exactly. Having done this I now plan on buying one of these pots for my bedroom and replacing the natural raffia with a pink one to match the room.

The pot hasn't got any holes in the bottom so if you plant directly into it you need to water carefully, it really is just a decorative pot to put a plain plant pot into. As a plant pot its ideal, its a nice size, has a nice shiny finish, its pretty and can be customised to match your colour scheme if you choose. I'm not sure if Homenase do this in any other sizes but this was the only one my local shop had in stock.

If you are looking for a nice ceramic plant pot either for yourself or a gift then I can recommend the flower motif pot from Homebase.
