Just fill container with soil medium or compost and soil mixture with some fertilizer for the growth process. Plant up to five seed potates in as deep as four inches down and wait for them to grow watering on occasion to keep moist. This is a plastic barrel which is hexagonal shaped which has a sliding door compartment so you can collect your potatoes easier from the base of the container once they have grown. It does this by opening up a little area in the base big enough to allow you to get to the potatoes that are laid bare and you just pick off what you want until the five seed potates you planted run out of new potatoe shoots.
