Pot's in the garden.

Yes pot,s I have many a pot in my garden. My favourite are the terracotta earthenware ones I have. The ones I have I bought quite cheaply from B&Q. I have some I potted up with daffodils look pretty in spring by the front door. If you buy these pots make sure they are frost proof otherwise they will shatter along with your dreams.
I have other more expensive earthenware ones I have been given as presents these are a little more ornate with patterns on them.

I also have half a wooden barrel with soil in it. This has an assortment of bulbs and corms in it, some crocus some snowdrops and some anemone’s I also put bedding plants in this when the first bulbs are finished.
These half wooden barrels are readily available from most garden centres.

I also have a couple of square wooden containers, which my dad made for me using old fencing.

I have a large empty paint tin, which I painted put some holes in for drainage and use to put plants in, in the back garden. Any old waterproof container can be used if it has been washed out and has holes in the bottom. Some of the large tins used for produce are attractive with their contents printed on the tin large golden syrup tins; baked bean tins coffee tins the catering sizes.

I bought some blue painted pots for mother in law for Christmas, planted some blue and white hyacinths in them for her. They look good in her more formal garden.

There are many a plastic pot/tub manufactured for displaying plants in I much prefer a pot made of something different, although the plastic ones are cheaper.
Pots are a useful addition to any garden planted up to add colour to a patio. Or to fill a space anywhere that needs colour.

I think a pot by the front door looks attractive and welcoming .I planted one with winter pansies and bulbs to put by Sleepydormouses front door looks welcoming to prospective buyers first impressions can be
important.
