When we go on a camping trip we are always on the look out for new products to take with us that will help us during our stay and with the weather being nice, it is ideal to sit outside your tent with a couple of beers watching the world go buy and when we saw this product in Wilkinson's and they were on offer too, we couldn't help but purchase a couple of them.

The Spiral candle is around 3/4 metre long, majority of it is covered in candle wax, however a couple of centimetres from the bottom is just a wooden stake that you can plough into the ground.

Coming in a variety of colours including blue, yellow, red, pink and green, these are extremely good value to take on your trip with you. At the top of the candle, as all candles do it has a wick to enable you to light the candle and get it going. I wondered at first how they managed to make it a spiral shape however once you have lit the candle, all is revealed, and the wooden cane has a piece of rope that is wrapped around it that gradually burns with the candle.

When lit you do get quite a nice flame off them and they are ideal to actually see in the dark, not far but around you camping pitch they give enough light off so that you can see each other, and surprisingly as the night grows colder, they do give off quite a bit of heat aswell to keep you warm enough without having to put on more clothes.

They last around 3 - 4 hours from lighting so are great for the one night but if you are staying for more than one night, get a load of the and be prepared. It's also quite romantic, as commented by some people on our campsite.

At the moment these retail at 2 for £1, which is great, and even when they are not on offer, they are 59p each. We have invested in a couple for the garden as they are nice to light if you are staying outside quite a while at night in the nice weather.
