... recognize this Draper bypass pattern secateur as one my local conservation society owns for use on work parties . Draper tools began in 1919 when Bert Draper started by selling government surplus and tools around Kingston upon Thames. The Pink Garden Kit ... looking through dooyoo s newest products section, I came across The Pink Gardening Set , which can be purchased for £24.99 from Amazon. Considering it s an item which I recently bought for my sister, I thought I would swallow my pride and give it a review. Before I start however, I d like to say that in no way do I condone owning a pink gardening set, and even though I can tell that you don t believe me when I say I bought it for someone else, I did... pink s not really my colour, and I don t have a garden - so there! Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Large Bypass Secateurs ... was tidying my gardening equipment and finding my secatuers ready for the spring prune. Pair of secateurs that I own are Spear and Jackson large bypass secatuers.I like Spear and Jacksons tools they seem to be well made and last a long time. These secateurs fit comfortably in my hand and I find them easy to use. There is a catch on the handle that fits into a notch on the blade to open or hold the blade shut firmly. The blades are a hardened steel blade Teflon coated to protect against rust. I use these to prune my overgrown hedges and roses they prune a stem of 20mm 3/4 inch fairly easily the sharp blade cutting through neatly. I also use them when taking cuttings. ... Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Large Bypass Secateurs ... tool is exceptional for cutting through small plant stems, but struggles for harder, woodier stems. The blade is Teflon-coated so it doesn't rust easily and can easily be sharpened with a whetstone. The fact that it is a bypass secateur(scissor blade action), allows you to cut precisely and cleanly in an easy action without excessive effort or strain. The handle is very comfortable, but opens wide so if you have small hands, you may want to go with a different product as it is just a bit too difficult for my young son to handle on his own.
