I borrowed a shot of my father in law's Fork which was this one. I decided to tackle my garden one day, but didn't really have many tools to do the job and at the time I didn't have much money to go and buy a whole range of tools, so I used this for few weeks.
Obviously this is a brand named Fork and I know of the name Alan Titchmarsh from the gardening programmes. Surely a brand named product won't be any better than a standard brand one?
I looked online for the price of this and see that this costs around £35. For a fork? Seems a bit expensive to me. My Fork that I bought cost about £15.
This has quite a long shaft on it, and not too wide a shaft The wood is smooth and easy enough to hold. It seems sturdy as well. The Steel for the Pronged bit is solid as well and looks as if it will take a good bit of digging and turning.
I went quite far down in the soil and was able to get stuck right in with this and this didn't flex or feel ny strain either.
There is no doubt that this will probably last a goo lenght of time and my in laws have had this for few years and have used this a good amount and it is still in great condition. I think this will last for years and years.
I can't really justify the price of this and can't see why this is so expensive but I think this would last you for all time so perhaps an investment.
