Being cordless means you don't have to worry about splicing through the power cord with this gadget and you don't have to fiddle around with cable as you go either. It runs off a regular 12 volt battery which you can recharge. I've had no problems with the battery lasting and it's still charging up to do the whole lawn (edges) afte...more

There are quite of lot of grass trimmers by Black & Decker and I've used a couple over the years I must say. The one we have at the moment is the 9 inch Cordless Trimmer Edger though there are loads available. It weighs about 7lb which makes this a really easy gadget to use about the garden. I use this to keep the edges of our lawn in check and also to keep the grass from growing over the pathway. I don't like to run a mower over paving because of an incident some ten years ago involving my head and a chunk of paving. An absolute god-send perfect for our big garden which is hedged all round is this 22" GT500 Black & Decker Hedge-trimmer. After purchasing a petrol trimmer which kept cutting out we decided to buy this large electric trimmer with a complimentary safety switch. It really does a first class cut on the hedges, both on our privet and holly, and quite happily cuts thought fairly thick branches. The trimmer is comfortable to hold, with good-sized, comfrotable handle and the dual-action blades cut down on vibration when in use and safety-wise there is a front guard and also a safety lock-off switch to prevent accidental start. The motor size is ...

They manicure the edges of any lawn, get rid of grass encroaching on boundaries and perform other garden miracles with it. So what is it about me and the other half that has made this the most useless garden tool we ever bought? Instead of trimming that edge I have dug up great clods of turf. Instead of getting rid of that growth near the wall I have had the cord snap countless of times. I do admit to having two left hands, but the other half is very dexterous (when he wants to be), yet his rate of success was hardly better than mine. He decided the electric models ...
